R.I.S.E. College is a new alternative secondary school opening in 2027, built for young people aged 14-18 who are ready for something different. Real-world learning, genuine support and pathways that actually go somewhere.

R.I.S.E. College is founded by CoAct, a community services organisation committed to improving outcomes for young Australians. R.I.S.E. stands for Resilience, Identity, Skills and Engagement, the 4 things we believe every young person needs to thrive.

We’re not building a traditional school. R.I.S.E. College is specifically designed for young people aged 14 to 18 who are disengaged from mainstream education, or for whom traditional schooling hasn’t worked. Small by design. Strengths-based by philosophy. Built for young people who deserve a school that works for them.

What R.I.S.E. means

Resilience

The capacity to face challenges, recover from setbacks and keep going. At R.I.S.E. College, we build resilience through real experiences, strong relationships and a culture where it's safe to try and safe to fail.

Identity

Knowing who you are is the foundation for everything else. We support every student to understand their strengths, their values and the direction they want their life to take.

Skills

Not just academic skills, but life skills, vocational skills and the practical capabilities that open doors. Students at R.I.S.E. College earn real qualifications and real-world experience alongside their education.

Engagement

Learning only works when young people want to be there. How we teach, how we connect and how we support are all designed to keep young people engaged, included and invested in their own future at R.I.S.E. College.
